EDITOR’S LETTER
THE BUILDERS AMONG US
There is something I have noticed about the people I admire most.
They rarely started with ideal circumstances.
Most of them were not handed a roadmap.
They were not given a seat at the table.
They did not inherit the perfect network, the perfect opportunity, or the perfect timing.
In fact, many of them started with the exact opposite.
They started with closed doors.
Limited resources.
Unanswered questions.
And a vision nobody else could see.
Yet somehow, they built anyway.
That is what this issue is about.
Legacy in Motion is a collection of stories about people who chose to create what was missing.
I often think about the people who changed my life.
The mentors.
The leaders.
The teachers.
The visionaries.
The people whose work created opportunities that did not exist before they arrived.
What strikes me most about them is that very few were given perfect conditions.
Most of them built while carrying uncertainty.
They built while grieving.
They built while learning.
They built while being underestimated.
